Embassy Sofia

The Ambassador for a Day campaign is a flagship event of the British Embassy in Sofia. Launched in 2018 to celebrate International Women's Day with a positive act, the initiative is becoming one of our most recognized and widely supported campaigns.

The concept has been evolving over the past years. In essence, Ambassador for a Day is a national essay contest for girls between the ages of 14 and 18 (grades 8 through 11).

Bulgaria's Vice President, Mrs. Iliana Iotova, has supported the initiative from its inception. Once again, the Vice President is patron of the competition and will welcome the winners to the Presidency.
